Description
They started building the church in 1849, but a year later, half-built, it collapsed due to heavy rainfall. After the accident, they temporarily abandoned the construction and started building again when they were encouraged to do so by the then Bishop of Maribor, Anton Martin Slomšek, who also gave them an altarpiece of St. Ožbalta and blessed the church on St. Michael’s Sunday in 1855.
