Cathedral Church of St Nicholas Novo Mesto

The Gothic Church of St Nicholas is the city’s most iconic monument and one of its central symbols, and it is also a key part of the city’s silhouette. The building has been a model for the construction of many smaller churches throughout Dolenjska. The Church of St Nicholas has been a cathedral church since 2006, when the Diocese of Novomeš was established, before which it was a chapter church.
