Description
The Bistra Carthaus was founded in 1255 as the first carthaus in Carniola. It acquired its present castle appearance after many reconstructions in the middle of the 19th century, when it became the property of the Galle family. It was nationalised in 1945, and since 1951 the castle has been home to the Technical Museum of Slovenia.
